Ahoy there.  Yes, it's been months since the last time we spoke.  It's put a strain on our relationship, I know this.  But to be fair, it's entirety me, not you.  We've just gotten damn busy, and things must be sacrificed.  While I would love to be one of those folks who can function on 3 hours' sleep a night, I'm not.  Still need (want) at least 6-6.5 hours.  That said, we do enjoy doing this blog, so we're going to be a little more faithful to the postings.

This posting's topic? A great story about a user who was hacked. This is not your typical incident. It happened to someone in the tech world (a programmer).

This posting is not meant to cause you panic or even frighten you. In fact, somewhat the opposite. It's to demonstrate that when it comes to be online, everyone and everything is fair game. The Old West had more laws/rules than the Internet... and that's exactly how it should be.

Our intent to highlight that being diligent and reasonable with your online info and actions is all that can be expected. If someone wants your info, they'll find a way to get it. So chill out, continue to enjoy the evolving Internet of Everything, but just be cafeful out there.

Anatomy of a Hack
