Building a website today is a far different task than it was back in the early 90’s. While in many respects it’s simpler and more accessible to a greater number of people, building a truly great website takes expansive know-how and a great deal of coding creativity.
The article below highlights just how clever Amazon has to be to keep their site on the forefront of the technology curve. Even the most basic functions require intense solutions, and most of us take it all for granted now. A lot of people I talk to think building websites is a commodity now; I couldn’t disagree more. Building a generic or bad site is a commodity; building a truly good (to great) website takes incredible skill, above and beyond just the creative.
You have any examples of great websites to show us (and ours doesn’t count)?
